Introduction
Since the inception in the year 1984, B.A. Home Science course has been running along with the other department. It now runs in yearly/Semester mode. The course was first updated in 2017. The revised syllabus will be followed from the new Academic session.
Home Science has 4 streams :
1) Food and Nutrition
2) Clothing and Textile
3) Resource Management
4) Human Development
5) Community Development and Extension Education
Home Science being an applied science, the syllabus has been structured in such a manner that it equips the student with a general idea of the streams and keeping in mind the unique requirements of B.A Home Science students. Practicals and field experiences are an essential part of the learning process. Laboratory work has been integrated in all areas of Home Science Subjects.
